Supplier Reliability Management increases delivery reliability and minimizes supply risks

In the product development process, we distinguish between the phase before the start of production (SoP), the launch phase, and the phase after SoP, the series phase. In the launch phase, the focus is on meeting all requirements and volumes in the required quality and on time for the milestones. In the series phase, the focus is on supplier stability and on-time delivery in terms of quality and quantity.

Launch Phase

We identify potential risk suppliers through a systematic risk assessment in the dimensions of product and complexity, production system and suppliers as well as history and situation. A “health check” lasting several days is carried out on site one year before the SoP.

The focus is on the product development process and the planning of the production system for the new products. The aim here is to obtain a transparent picture of progress one year before the start of series production, to identify potential risks and to develop measures to minimize risks.

Serien Phase

Risk factors are monitored in a permanent screening process. Pattern recognition enables potential risk suppliers to be identified at an early stage based on technical and economic performance parameters. The stability of the supplier is also checked in an on-site health check lasting several days.

The assessment criteria are tailored to ongoing production. The same applies to risk mitigation programs.
