Senior IT Network Administrator (m/f/d)
As a Senior IT Network Administrator (m/f/d) in Düsseldorf, you ensure a network infrastructure that meets current best practices as well as company requirements whilst taking responsibility for the administration, optimization and further development of our network landscape.
Your tasks
- You are the technical expert for network administration and look after the continuous development of our network environment, especially focusing on Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiMail)
- You will be responsible for the administration and optimization of firewalls, switches, routing, SD-WAN, VPN and WLAN
- As an expert in IT security, you analyze security incidents and actively work on the implementation and realization of security guidelines
- You manage and coordinate rollouts of new IT systems and migration projects as well as contribute your technical planning expertise
- As a service owner you are responsible for open source solutions such as Nextcloud, TrueNAS, LAMP/LEMP, WAZUH, Proxmox VE
- Additionally, you will provide second-level support and assist our internal users in case of technical issues
Your profile
- You have successfully graduated with a degree in computer science or a comparable apprenticeship as an information technology specialist
- You possess at least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in a consulting firm or an auditing company
- You aquired profound knowledge of working with Fortinet products and are well versed in dealing with 1G-100G Ethernet networks, VLAN, switching, routing and firewall rules and regulations
- You have relevant experience with VMware vSphere, Veeam, Proxmox VE and Debian-based Linux distributions
- In Addition, you are familiar with monitoring and logging tools such as CheckMK and FortiAnalyzer
- Furthermore, you are experienced in planning and implementing IT projects and migrations, especially in the context of mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
